Jay Durga Club emerged champions in the Bachan Memorial Football Tournament, defeating Rohit Football Academy 1-0 in the final at Khuntakat ground in Athagarh today. After a barren first half, Rohit Tudu netted the all-important goal in the 48th minute.
Athagarh MLA Ranendra Pratap Swain handed over the trophy in the presence of host Cuttack District Athletic Association general secretary Asirbad Behera, vice-presidents Bijay Das and Bhakta Ballav Das.
